3 Key Habits For 6-Figure Entrepreneurs
Updated: Sep 19
As someone who has lived in 10 countries, built multiple 6-figure businesses, and grown a community of over 16,000, I can tell you firsthand that success is built on habits.
Rather than those big, flashy wins we see on social media; it’s the small, consistent, meaningful, actions that drive long-term results.
Routines, habits, and schedules seem easy in theory, but in practice, they’re one of my greatest struggles. Organisation has always felt like a weak point for me, despite recognising its importance.
Yet, even with this personal challenge, I’ve found strategies that work, and I want to share them with you.
Trying to Do Everything at Once
I used to think I was being efficient when I was actually slowing my progress on multiple fronts.
Doing everything at once often accomplishes nothing (or very little).
Most people know they should establish good habits, but they often approach it with unrealistic expectations.
They try to overhaul their entire routine overnight, only to burn out or lose interest. What happens next? They revert back to old patterns, feeling frustrated and stuck.
Many entrepreneurs and business owners believe that to be successful, you need to constantly say “yes”—to every opportunity, every project, every connection. This mindset leads to overwhelm, burnout, and a loss of focus on the things that truly move the needle.
We’ve all been there—trying to do too much, spreading ourselves too thin, and ultimately missing out on what’s most important. The reality is, trying to do it all is a recipe for mediocrity. Elite performers know how to prioritize and stay laser-focused on their highest-value activities.
3 Key Habits That Created 6-Figures & Fulfillment
Through years of stubborn experience, I’ve learned that doing less, but doing it in a calm, focused and 'ease-ful' manner has proven more effective (for me).
Three habits that completely revolutionised my business (and life):
Connecting with People (caring for people)
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that relationships are everything, especially if you're a solo- or entrepreneur.
Whether it’s networking with peers, having meaningful conversations with clients, or building a strong support system, the people you surround yourself with influence your success.
The most effective way to leverage this is by genuinely caring about others. Demonstrate this by asking how their kids, cats or projects are going?
Pick up old conversations and ask about things that are important in their lives.
(This is the principle client-acclerator I found in all my businesses.)
Prioritise relationships over everything else.
People bring opportunities, feedback, and energy that can propel your business forward in ways you can’t achieve alone.
Saying “Not Yet”
In the early days, I used to say yes to everything. Opportunities, projects, and tasks would pile up, and before long, I was overwhelmed and unfocused. But one of the most powerful habits I developed is learning to say, “Not yet.”
Instead of trying to tackle every opportunity that comes my way, I now focus only on the 1-3 things that align with my bigger goals.
This approach has allowed me to do fewer things, but do them exceptionally well. High performers know that focus is their greatest asset, and by saying no to distractions, they can say yes to what truly matters.
A Personal Team
You don’t have to do it alone (and probably shouldn't).
One of the best investments I’ve made in my personal and professional life is building a team of people who challenge me, support me, and hold me accountable.
I have a coach to push me beyond my comfort zone, a psychologist to help me maintain mental clarity and self-awareness, an accountability partner to stay on track with goals and an osteopath foy physical wellness.
This doesn't include specific friends and relatives I engage with for specific topcis of conversation for example.
Don't just take my word for it, elite performers understand the importance of external support and surround themselves with experts helping them grow in infinite ways they couldn’t on their own.
Practical Steps to Implement These Habits
If you’re ready to take your performance to the next level, here are some actionable steps you can start with:
Prioritise Connection
Reach out to one person in your network every day—whether it’s a mentor, peer, or potential client. Build relationships intentionally with love and interest.
2. Say “Not Yet”
Before saying yes to a new project, ask yourself if it aligns with your long-term goals. If it doesn’t, learn to say “not yet” and focus on what matters.
Go through what you've already got on your plate and analyse using the 80-20 rule.
3. Build Your Personal Team
Hire a coach, psychologist, or accountability partner who can help you stay focused, balanced, and constantly improving.
Choose who would make the most impact for you now and hire them first.
Less Is More
High performance isn’t about doing everything but rather the right things for your ambitions.
By focusing on meaningful connections, learning to say “not yet,” and building a personal team, you can achieve more with less, faster.
What’s one thing you can say “not yet” to today, so you can focus on what truly matters?
